When is most power used?
Adjust electricity rates & see assumptions

Model assumptions: 91 days per quarter; 82% of the bill treated as energy charges; 4.2 kWh of solar generation per kW per day before shading; 80% of nominal battery capacity available for this model; 90% round-trip efficiency. Savings use a ±18% illustrative range, capped against your bill. No electricity-price inflation or VPP income is assumed.

For homes with existing solar, the bill alone cannot tell us total household use or exports. This is a comparison scenario; we verify it against meter data before quoting.

What affects the result

The same bill can need a different battery.

A daytime-heavy home may use solar directly and need less storage, while an evening-heavy household may benefit from more capacity even when today’s bill looks similar.

The estimator uses your answers to select a capacity path. Our home battery sizing guide explains how evening usage and surplus solar affect that choice. SUNNY’s team then checks interval data, inverter compatibility, switchboard, export limits, cable routes and backup circuits before issuing a written quote.

Quote transparency & trust

What you can expect from a SUNNY Energy quote.

1 · Clear installed price

We publish realistic starting ranges including GST, standard installation and applicable Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), not deceptive uninstalled hardware prices.

2 · Accredited installers

Every installation is completed by our own licensed Queensland electricians holding current Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) battery endorsements.

3 · Full equipment models

Written quotes specify the exact FoxESS hybrid inverters, Tier-1 panels and modular storage modules—never generic descriptions or unverified substitutions.

4 · Site-specific honesty

If your switchboard needs modern safety switches or your cable route requires trenching, we itemise it upfront so there are no surprises on installation day.

Before accepting any solar battery quote, make sure you compare the installer's accreditation, warranty terms and after-sales support. Learn how to choose a solar battery installer in Brisbane.
