Brisbane & Queensland solar battery prices · 2026 guide
Solar battery prices in Brisbane and QLD.
How much will a home battery actually cost to install? Compare our published 20kWh, 28kWh and 42kWh system paths below, including GST and standard installation after the applicable rebate. Your final quote depends on the equipment combination and site work—not just the battery capacity.
Installation service is assessed within 100km by road from our Coopers Plains depot to your suburb or postcode centre—not across all of Queensland. Send your suburb or postcode to check coverage before comparing an offer for your home.

Which range might fit?
What each installed price band is designed to cover.
20.72kWh · compact retrofit
Often considered when existing solar is sound and the main goal is shifting a defined share of daytime generation into the evening. The inverter and current PV system still need to be checked.
27.84–31.08kWh · family capacity
CQ7-L4 and three EP11 modules offer different capacities at the same starting price. Compare equipment layout and your evening usage—not just the number of bedrooms or the largest kWh figure.
41.44–41.76kWh · high capacity
Often considered for larger loads, EV charging or three-phase system designs. More stored energy does not automatically mean whole-home blackout backup.
What changes the quote
Six property inputs matter more than a generic package name.
Capacity and power
Stored energy, charge and discharge power, inverter output and backup output are related—but they are not the same specification.
Single or three-phase
Use the column matching your home’s supply. Higher-power inverter options need a separate equipment, grid and site assessment; do not add a generic surcharge to an already quoted three-phase total.
Existing solar
Keeping the current inverter, replacing it or changing the PV arrangement creates different equipment and labour scopes.
Switchboard
Protection, space, metering, backup separation and any required rectification must be assessed at the actual property.
Battery location
Cable distance, access, wall or floor conditions and current installation requirements can change the practical scope.
Blackout backup
Essential-circuit and wider backup designs require different switching, circuit work and load checks. Backup should be explicit in the proposal.
Turn the range into a written Brisbane quote.
Send your suburb, a recent bill, the existing inverter model and what you want to keep running in a blackout. We’ll identify any remaining site evidence needed for a firm proposal.
Before comparing quotes
What is included—and what needs a site check?
Included in the starting offer
The listed battery configuration, the inverter shown for your phase, GST and standard installation, after the applicable rebate. Ask for the equipment and installation scope to be itemised in your written proposal.
Confirm before accepting
Which existing solar equipment stays, the cable route, mounting location, protection equipment, commissioning and monitoring handover. There is no universal cable allowance or switchboard scope implied by the words “standard installation”.
Quoted separately when needed
Backup circuits and switching, switchboard rectification, longer cable runs, protective barriers or other non-standard site work. New solar panels and changes to the existing solar system are not included unless expressly listed.
How the rebate affects these prices.
Our starting prices are already after the applicable rebate: do not subtract another 30%. From 1 May 2026, support is tiered by usable battery capacity, rather than calculated as a flat percentage of your whole quote.
- First 14kWh: 100% of the applicable STC factor.
- Portion above 14kWh, up to 28kWh: 60% of that factor.
- Portion above 28kWh, up to 50kWh: 15% of that factor.
Our own project evidence
What a 41.44kWh retrofit looks like in practice.
Our published case study documents four EP11 modules with a FoxESS KH9.9, added to an existing solar system. It separates the verified equipment and operating data from the site work that monitoring alone cannot prove.
This is a historical installation, not a promise that every home will receive the same design, performance or price. The customer’s private quote is not published.

Cost questions
Read the inclusions, not just the number.
How much does a solar battery cost in Brisbane?
Single-phase standard installed offers start at $4,999 for EP11 20.72kWh, $6,999 for CQ7-L4 27.84kWh or EP11 31.08kWh, $8,499 for EP11 41.44kWh and $8,999 for CQ7-L6 41.76kWh. Prices include GST after the applicable rebate. Three-phase prices and site-dependent work are separate; these are starting offers, not fixed quotes for every property.
How much does a 42kWh solar battery system cost?
Our high-capacity range covers 41.44–41.76kWh systems, often rounded to 42kWh when comparing offers. The EP11 path starts at $8,499 and CQ7-L6 at $8,999, including GST and standard installation after the applicable rebate. These are different equipment configurations, not interchangeable quotes. Confirm the exact model, nominal and usable capacity, inverter and backup scope in your proposal.
Are these Brisbane solar battery prices installed?
Yes. The published starting prices include GST and standard installation after the applicable federal battery rebate. Backup, switchboard rectification, long cable routes, equipment changes and other non-standard site work are confirmed separately in the written proposal.
Does the federal battery discount apply to existing solar?
Eligible batteries connected to new or existing rooftop solar may qualify. From May 2026, the STC factor applies at 100% to the first 14kWh of usable capacity, 60% to the portion above 14 up to 28kWh, and 15% to the portion above 28 up to 50kWh. These are certificate-factor rates, not discounts on the total quote. The applied dollar amount depends on eligibility, installation date and certificate value; our prices already include the applicable rebate.
Why can two Brisbane homes receive different quotes for the same battery?
Phase, inverter choice, switchboard work, cable route, backup circuits, installation location, existing-solar changes and grid requirements can all change the labour and equipment needed.
Does a larger kWh number mean more blackout backup power?
No. kWh is stored energy; kW is power. Blackout performance also depends on inverter EPS output, battery discharge limits, state of charge, switching equipment and the loads connected to the backup circuits.
Can you confirm a fixed price from a power bill alone?
A bill helps size the opportunity, but a firm scope also needs the suburb, phase, existing equipment, switchboard and battery location. Unknown site work should be identified before the final proposal rather than added as a surprise later.
