Accredited Brisbane installers · Coopers Plains depot

Solar battery installation in Brisbane, planned around your home.

Looking for a solar battery installer in Brisbane? Start with a site-specific quote: your existing inverter, single or three-phase supply, battery location and backup circuits all affect the work required. We assess these alongside your electricity use before recommending an installation scope.

Based in Coopers Plains, we assess homes within 100km by road to your suburb or postcode centre. Send your suburb or postcode first; boundary locations need confirmation.

Site assessment

Three checks prevent expensive surprises on install day.

1 · Energy use & tariffs

Your quarterly bill and meter interval data reveal when your home actually draws power. Evening air conditioning, pool pumps and EV charging determine whether a 20.72kWh, 28kWh or 41.44kWh system delivers the best return.

2 · Existing solar compatibility

We verify your current inverter brand, phase and PV string voltage. That determines whether you need an AC-coupled battery retrofit or an upgrade to an integrated hybrid inverter under our existing solar pathway.

3 · Switchboard & backup scope

We check physical switchboard space, modern safety switches (RCDs) and cable runs. Any required board upgrades or blackout changeover wiring are itemised upfront rather than hidden inside headline pricing.

Compare practical capacities on our solar battery systems page, review transparent pricing in our Queensland battery price guide, or use our home battery quote checklist to prepare your site details.

Install day standards

What happens from first arrival to final commissioning.

1 · Site verification

Our SAA-accredited team confirms cable pathways, structural wall fixings, fire-clearance zones and mechanical bollard placement if installing in a garage.

2 · Mounting & isolation

The installer confirms mounting, isolation and any required protective measures for the specified equipment and the actual wall, floor and surrounding area.

3 · Switchboard integration

Metering and switchboard connections are installed for the agreed system. Backup circuits and changeover equipment are added only when included in your written installation scope.

4 · Handover & app setup

We complete Energex anti-islanding tests, configure the FoxESS monitoring app on your phone, and explain emergency shutdown procedures before leaving.

41.44kWh: an existing-solar retrofit

A KH9.9 inverter and four EP11 modules recorded 942.9kWh of battery discharge in July 2026. The case explains the system and data limits, not a guaranteed saving for another home.

Compliance & safety

What needs checking at your proposed battery location.

A suitable location depends on the equipment, the property and the applicable installation requirements. These are questions for your installer to resolve during the site assessment, not a do-it-yourself compliance checklist:

  • Location and access: What rooms, doors, windows and escape routes are nearby, and what clearances does this equipment require?
  • Wall and mounting: What is the wall construction, what is on the other side, and are additional barriers or supports required?
  • Impact and exposure: Could a vehicle hit the equipment, or could sun, rain or flooding affect the proposed position?
  • Electrical and grid requirements: What protection, testing, network approval and documentation are needed for the exact system?

Choosing the right provider is critical to long-term safety and support. Learn what credentials to look for in our guide on how to choose a solar battery installer in Brisbane, or explore complete solar and battery packages in Brisbane.

Installation questions

What Brisbane homeowners ask before booking.

What information is needed before a Brisbane battery quote?

A recent quarterly electricity bill, your property suburb, the full model of any existing solar inverter, your power supply (single or three-phase), and a list of appliances you want powered during a blackout. Photos of your main switchboard and proposed battery wall help us identify site requirements without guesswork.

Can a home battery be installed outdoors in Queensland?

Some batteries are suitable for outdoor installation. The installer must check the exact model’s instructions, weather exposure, temperature, clearances, wall construction and site requirements before confirming a location. A weather rating alone does not make every outdoor position suitable.

Does a battery installation include blackout backup automatically?

Only when dedicated emergency backup is designed into the scope. This requires wiring essential circuits (refrigerator, Wi-Fi, lighting, home office) through an automatic changeover switch to the inverter EPS output. We clearly state your backup scope in writing before you sign.

Who handles the Energex grid connection and STC rebate paperwork?

SUNNY Energy manages the entire network connection process with Energex (including Dynamic Export applications) and claims the applicable federal Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) on your behalf, so your proposal reflects a genuine net installed price.

What service area does your Brisbane installation crew cover?

Our service area is based on a road distance of up to 100km from our Coopers Plains depot to your suburb or postcode centre, not a straight-line radius. Share your suburb or postcode so we can confirm whether your property is within our service area.
