Make more use of your own solar
Store surplus daytime generation for cooking, lighting and other evening loads. The aim is to buy less electricity from the grid when your solar has stopped producing.
With the FoxESS monitoring app, follow solar generation, battery charging and household energy flows. We help you understand what the readings mean at handover.
If backup matters, tell us which appliances you need. We assess a backup design around those loads so you know what the system can support.
Follow the energy
See where your electricity goes as the day changes.
Surplus → battery · Further surplus → grid
Solar supplies household loads first. Spare generation charges the battery; further surplus can flow to the grid within your export limit.
Grid supplies any shortfall
Stored energy supplies your home through the inverter. The grid tops up when demand exceeds system output or the battery reaches its reserve.
Grid disconnected for safety
A backup-capable system isolates from the grid and supplies selected circuits. Runtime depends on charge and loads; backup needs suitable equipment and circuit design.
Why these products?

FoxESS · storage & inverter
Choose storage to suit your household today, with room to plan for changing energy needs. CQ7 uses 6.96kWh modules; the four-module CQ7-L4 provides 27.84kWh. EP11 offers a separate battery pathway. Expansion is checked against the exact inverter, battery configuration and manufacturer requirements.
CQ7 combines lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, IP65 protection and natural-convection cooling, with a rated 100% depth of discharge. That means flexible indoor or outdoor placement and access to its rated usable storage, subject to installation requirements and system settings. We assess a suitable location and reserve settings for your home.
FoxESS was named on BloombergNEF’s Q4 2024 Tier 1 energy storage manufacturer list. For your home, we pair that manufacturer platform with SUNNY’s local advice and a clear contact for installation and aftercare.

JinkoSolar · for new solar + battery
The JinkoSolar JKM475N-48HL4M-DV combines 475W rated output with 23.77% module efficiency under standard test conditions. We plan the layout around your roof and shading to make good use of the available space.
N-type cell technology and glass on both sides form a durable panel design. Its −0.29%/°C power temperature coefficient describes how output changes as cell temperature rises above test conditions; real generation also depends on sunlight, orientation and shading.
The Australian datasheet lists a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, with 87.4% rated power at year 30. These cover different things: product defects and specified output retention, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
These are complete system starting points, not standalone battery-module prices. Compare capacity alongside the inverter, your existing solar and the installation scope. The final proposal confirms the equipment combination and property-specific work.

After installation
Contact SUNNY about the system we supplied. Keep your installation address, fault code and app screenshots handy so the issue can be assessed.
Call 1300 013 888 or email admin@sunnyenergy.com.au. Let us know when the issue started and whether there was a power or internet outage.
Monitoring, equipment and installation issues need different checks. SUNNY coordinates the support pathway, involving the installation team or manufacturer as appropriate.
Your written proposal and handover documents set out the relevant product and workmanship cover. Coverage, site visits and any chargeable work need assessment; a battery warranty is not a promise that every service is free.
Sizing questions
Start with the electricity you use after solar production falls, then check how much surplus solar is available to charge the battery. Household size alone does not establish the right capacity. We compare your bills or interval data, existing solar, phase and backup priorities before recommending a system; a larger battery is not automatically better value.
Most homes have a workable retrofit path, but not every battery connects directly to every inverter. We check the complete inverter model, phase, metering, PV arrangement and required blackout behaviour before recommending AC coupling, a hybrid inverter change or a broader redesign.
Backup is designed per property. Essential circuits are the usual starting point; wider backup may be possible after checking the switchboard, inverter EPS output, battery discharge limits and large-load starting demand. Battery kWh alone does not prove whole-home capability.
Some modular systems allow later expansion, but this must be checked against the exact battery and inverter combination, supported module count and manufacturer requirements. Tell us about planned EV charging or other new loads before choosing the initial system; later expansion is not automatic.
Yes. SUNNY Energy can assess both battery-only retrofits and complete solar-and-battery systems. The written proposal confirms the panel, inverter and battery combination, standard installation inclusions, site-specific work and the applicable rebate rather than relying on a generic package label.
