Battery families

Engineered modular storage for South East Queensland homes.

FoxESS EP11 home battery

EP11 Series

High-voltage modular storage used in 20.72kWh to 41.44kWh designs. Excellent depth-of-discharge, high round-trip efficiency and IP65 outdoor weather protection.

FoxESS EQ4800 battery modules

EQ4800 Stack

Stackable modular units ideal for standard family homes. Delivers flexible capacity increments (from 19.2kWh to 28.8kWh) with integrated BMS protection.

FoxESS CQ7 battery tower

CQ7 High-Capacity Tower

Vertical high-capacity commercial and residential storage architecture. Optimized for pairing with three-phase FoxESS H3 hybrid inverters for heavy-duty power delivery.

Real-world performance evidence

Verified FoxESS installations across Brisbane and SEQ.

Verified Operating Data · 41.44kWh Retrofit

A FoxESS KH9.9 hybrid inverter with four EP11 modules recorded 942.9kWh of total battery discharge in July 2026, averaging 30.4kWh per day. This monthly total does not establish the charging source or time of use, and is not a measured electricity-bill saving.

Inverter & system architecture

Pairing FoxESS storage with matched hybrid inverters.

A battery storage system is only as capable as the inverter managing it. We configure FoxESS batteries with matched, certified FoxESS hybrid inverters to ensure seamless communication and full grid compliance:

  • FoxESS KH Series (Single-Phase Hybrid): Delivers up to 9.9kW of solar PV input and 5kW to 6kW continuous AC/EPS emergency backup power. Perfect for standard residential retrofits and family home packages.
  • FoxESS H3 Series (Three-Phase Hybrid): Available in 10kW to 15kW continuous power ratings. Provides balanced three-phase solar management, dynamic grid export compliance, and robust multi-phase blackout backup capable of running ducted air conditioning.

Why the platform matters

Hardware is only one part of the ownership experience.

System design

Battery, inverter, phase, metering, PV strings and blackout circuits are engineered as one coherent operating unit.

Commissioning

BMS communications, firmware synchronization and Energex dynamic export limits are tested and verified before sign-off.

Local stock & parts

Our Coopers Plains warehouse holds local inventory and replacement parts, ensuring fast turnaround without interstate delays.

10-year warranty

Serial numbers, commissioning logs and compliance certificates are registered directly with FoxESS Australia for warranty protection.

FoxESS questions

Practical answers before choosing a system.

Which FoxESS battery is right for my home?

The battery family depends on your household energy draw, phase arrangement and available wall space. For single-phase homes with 20kWh to 30kWh daily usage, the modular EP11 or EQ4800 stack paired with a FoxESS KH hybrid inverter is the most common choice. For large three-phase homes with ducted air conditioning or EV charging, the high-capacity CQ7 tower or multi-stack EP11 paired with an H3 hybrid inverter provides higher continuous discharge and whole-home blackout capability.

Can I add extra FoxESS battery modules later?

Expansion depends on the exact battery family, inverter, existing modules and manufacturer requirements at the time. Ask us to check the permitted module combination before planning an upgrade. The 20kWh, 28kWh and 42kWh offers are not a single interchangeable expansion ladder.

Does using one brand guarantee complete compatibility?

Using matched FoxESS hybrid inverters and FoxESS battery modules ensures native BMS communication, unified firmware updates and integrated emergency power supply (EPS) switching. However, the exact combination, module quantity and Energex connection limits must still be verified for your specific property.

How does the FoxESS Cloud monitoring app work?

FoxESS Cloud provides real-time visibility into rooftop solar generation, battery state-of-charge, household consumption, grid import and export. It allows homeowners to schedule charging from off-peak grid tariffs, reserve battery capacity for storm blackouts, and integrate with dynamic energy providers such as Amber Electric.

Who handles warranty claims and local servicing?

SUNNY Energy manages system commissioning, warranty registration with FoxESS Australia, and ongoing local service directly from our Coopers Plains depot, giving you a single local contact for both hardware and installation support.
